Buffalo Soldiers are Real?
What is a Buffalo Soldier? People will likely respond with something like, “African American that kill Buffalos and sell them?” But they are not what you think they are. The Buffalo Soldier’s main charge was to protect settlers as they moved west and to support the westward expansion by building the things needed for new settlements. They fought in indian wars and started in the civil war.
The Buffalo Soldiers fought in the Indian wars, Johnson County war, Spanish–American War, including the Battle of San Juan Hill. “From 1866 to the early 1890s, these regiments served at a variety of posts in the Southwestern United States and the Great Plains regions. The Buffalo Soldiers got their name from the Native Americans. They fought out on very open grasslands of the great plains. They were stationed at Fort Leavenworth and they participated lots of fights around Kansas and that's how they got their name.
There is a museum in Fort Leavenworth and has artifacts and things that they actually used way back in those days. They have guns, cloths, and many other things that they used. Houston, Texas has a museum that talks about everything that the Buffalo Soldiers did and what happened to everyone.
